As the cold nights draw in, make sure you are ready to snuggle up on the sofa or in bed with the perfect winter duvet. A warm and cozy duvet could mean the difference between a good and a bad night's sleep so don't compromise on quality when it comes to choosing the perfect duvet this winter. We have a wide collection of duvets from you to choose from, including anti allergy duvet, natural duck feather and goose feather duvets.

What tog rating is best for winter?

For an extra cosy night's sleep in the winter, 13.5 tog duvet is the best choice for you. At the higher end of the tog scale, the 13.5 tog duvet will provide you with that extra heat if you struggle to stay warm during the colder months.

If you'd like a duvet you can use throughout the season though, the 10.5 tog duvet is a better choice for you. In the middle of the tog scale, the 10.5 tog duvet will keep you comfortable as the seasons change, even at the height of summer and winter.

Choosing the right winter duvet size

Generally, you should choose a duvet that is the same size as your bed, for example a king size bed should have a king size duvet to match. For couples, or people who like to fully wrap themselves in their duvet, the sizing is a little different to make sure that each person has enough duvet to keep them warm and comfortable at night. In this case, you should opt for one size larger in the duvet, so a double bed should have a king size duvet for ultimate space and comfort.

Is a 10.5 tog warm enough for winter?

A tog rating tells you how much heat the duvet retains and how warm it will keep you. Tog ratings range from the coolest at 1 to the warmest at 15. Depending on how well you regulate your body temperature, a 10.5 tog duvet can be warm enough for winter if you don't like to be too hot while you sleep. However, if you prefer to keep extra toasty during the winter, you may want to consider a 13.5 tog duvet for that extra bit of comfort and the best night's sleep.
